Held during the 2026 NAIDOC Week celebrations, the 2026 Inaugural First Nations National Reconciliation Darts Tournament took place 3-5 July across the West Moreton Darts Association and Carole Park & Districts Darts Association venues in partnership with Goondir Health Service and Kambu Health.
Eagle Sports are proud to have been a sponsor for this historic event that celebrated sport and community, bringing players together with a focus on First Nations culture, reconciliation, and connection through sport.
Organizer Mick Lacey, a professional darts player, reflected on the tournament:
'As I sit back and reflect on what we achieved over the weekend, I still find it hard to put into words. A vision that started as a conversation has now become history. The Inaugural First Nations National Reconciliation Darts Tournament was everything I had hoped it would be and so much more.
Held during the 2026 NAIDOC Week celebrations, this tournament was never just about darts. It was about creating a space where First Nations and non-Indigenous people could come together, share stories, build friendships and demonstrate that sport has the power to unite us all.
Over three incredible days, we witnessed some of the best darts seen in Australia. From the opening Indigenous All Stars versus Queensland All Stars match through to the final championship deciders, every player represented themselves, their families and their communities with pride. The standard of darts was exceptional, but what impressed me most was the respect shown to one another throughout the weekend.'
