We're thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new WISH full graphite racquet range!

Whether you're just starting out or looking to upgrade your game, choosing the right badminton racquet can make all the difference on court. Here's everything you need to know about selecting the perfect racquet from our exciting new collection.

Understanding Racquet Composition

The materials used in your racquet's shaft and frame significantly impact its performance. Our new WISH range features several advanced compositions:

High Modulus Graphite (HMG) is lightweight, strong, and stiff, efficiently transferring energy for consistent performance every time you strike the shuttle.

Woven technology combines woven and titanium materials for increased toughness and resistance to torsion, giving you a more durable racquet that maintains its integrity during intense rallies.

30 Ton+ (30T) graphite is a measure of quality – the higher the T rating, the stiffer and stronger the graphite fiber used in construction.

Hot Melt is an advanced manufacturing process that allows resin to be precisely formulated with carbon fibers, increasing the strength of the frame by more than 30% while delivering increased power and control.

Flex: Finding Your Sweet Spot

Flex refers to how much the shaft bends when you hit the shuttle, and it's crucial to match this to your playing level.

Flexible shafts are great for beginners, offering more power with less effort, though you'll sacrifice some control. Medium flex provides a good all-round mix of power and control, suitable for intermediate players developing their technique. Stiff shafts are for the pros, allowing extra precision in shot placement but requiring more power in each shot to get the best results.

Balance: Where the Weight Matters

The balance point determines where the weight sits along the racquet, shaping your playing style.

Head Heavy (310–315mm) racquets boost smash power, perfect for aggressive players who dominate from the back of the court. Even Balance (295–305mm) excels at all-round play, giving you versatility across all shots. Light Head (285–290mm) allows for lightning-fast reactions, ideal for doubles players and those who prioritize speed at the net.

String Tension: Tight or Loose?

String tension affects both power and control, measured separately for main (vertical) and cross (horizontal) strings.

Low tension (Main: 24–26, Cross: 26–28) provides increased power for less effort with a more springy, forgiving feel. Medium tension (Main: 26–28, Cross: 28–30) offers balanced performance for both power and control. High tension (Main: 28–30+, Cross: 30–32+) delivers a high level of control for precise shot placement, favored by advanced players.

Weight: Power vs. Maneuverability

The overall weight of your racquet influences everything from shot power to how quickly you tire.

Heavy 3U racquets drive power with extra stability on smashes, though they require more strength to wield effectively. Light 5U+ models are easy to handle, offering quicker reactions and less arm fatigue during long matches. Medium 4U sits at the intersection between stability, power, and fatigue resistance, making it the most popular choice for recreational players.

All racquets in the WISH range feature a standard 675mm length and G2 grip size, ensuring consistency across the collection while you focus on choosing the performance characteristics that suit your game.

Making Your Choice

The beauty of our new WISH full graphite range is that there's a racquet for every player. Each racquet spec – flex, weight, balance, and string tension – affects power, speed, and control.

Beginners should look for flexible, head-heavy, lower-tension setups in lighter weights. Intermediate players can experiment with medium specifications to develop their all-round game. Advanced players will appreciate the precision of stiffer, higher-tension racquets that reward proper technique.
