Eagle Sports runs a small range of table tennis tables from German company SPONETA. There are a couple of factors that separate the Sponeta tables from other tables on the market.
MADE IN GERMANY
Sponeta is based in and manufactures all its table tennis tables in Schlotheim, Germany (located in the state of Thuringia). They embody everything that has become synonymous with the "Made in Germany" moniker. In other words they are the BMW or Mercedes of table tennis table manufacture. Sponeta has the same overwhelming emphasis on the quality of its product in both the selection of materials and the high quality management of the manufacturing process. Also, typically for a German company, they emphasise amazing efficiency, which in table manufacturing means robots; really, really cool robots.
LONG HISTORY OF QUALITY MANUFACTURING
Schlotheim, has been involved in the cordage and net manufacture industry for a long, long time. Sponeta emerged from this tradition in manufacturing netting for sports goods to manufacturing ping pong tables in the early 1970s. Over the last 4+ decades, Sponeta has become the biggest manufacturer of table tennis tables in Europe. Tradition doesn't mean the company is stuck in the past though, with Sponeta applying industry leading technology to their manufacturing including being at the forefront of 3D simulation and design software for table tennis tables.
TESTING AND STANDARDS
Underpinning every Sponeta table is an exhaustive testing process that goes over and above the various applicable safety standards that apply to table tennis tables in Europe. The manufacturing process meets the safety and quality standards set out in DIN EN 190 900 1: 2008. The tables themselves also meet the safety standards set out in the German Equipment and Product Safety Act as well as the EU standard (EN 14468-1). The table tops are also tested to make sure they reach the standards for the appropriate class in regards to ball rebound, degree of gloss, sliding friction coefficient and rotation effect. That is a lot of testing, all to make sure the product is of the highest German quality.

Sponeta tables are a little more technical than their Alliance counterparts. Luckily all the Sponeta tables we stock have easy to follow pictorial instruction manuals. They also have easy to follow assembly videos, making the construction of the Sponeta tables straight forward.
